Lions Face Mask Challenge

Lions Clubs International Multiple District 410

For those members who have access to sewing machines or who know of community volunteers who will be willing to partner with local Lions Clubs and become involved, we are challenging you all to make 100% cotton fabric face masks which can be used for additional protection against the NOVEL COVID 19 VIRUS.

Responding to the Coronavirus

Lions Clubs International

Lions Clubs International is actively working with our clubs around the world and monitoring the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which is changing the way we live, work and serve. This Response Center is your central source for news and resources impacting Lions and our efforts to serve the world during this challenging time. Check back frequently for updates since this is a rapidly evolving situation. Let’s continue to put our kindness in action by putting the health and safety of our communities first.

Dear Fellow Lions,

As we move towards Day 7 of our country’s lock down, the MD410 Council assures each and every one of you that whilst we may not speak to each of you every day or even every month, you and your families are with us in our thoughts.

Sometimes we will experience difficulties, such as the time we are all currently going through. This is definitely not because we are doing it wrong, but because we are doing it right. All we can say is, just keep going, there is always a light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Also when we face difficult times, know that challenges are not sent to destroy us. View these challenges as being sent to promote, increase and strengthen us to better serve our communities when the time comes.

Please look after each other, remember a phone call or an email message to someone really does help - kindness and compassion matters.

Stay safe and healthy.

Yours in Lionism and friendship,

Council Chairman Jacqui Hocking
